As we all look and pray for all of those in the path of Hurricane Irma, I wanted to let everyone know about some schedule changes for the coming week.
First, Bible Study is cancelled this week. I have rescheduled with Pastor Ted Sinn for October 5th.
Second, we are going to push our fall launch back a week to the 17th. Even if the hurricane misses us, I think it would be best to wait a week.
Last, as of the writing of this post (Wednesday around noon) we are canceling worship on Sunday morning.
As we contemplate this storm, let’s remember that we serve a God who rules the winds and the waves. He sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. We will likely never understand why terrible disasters like this happen, but we are called to trust a little deeper in the face of disasters like this. May we join the man in the gospel of Mark in saying, “Lord, I believe, but help me with my unbelief!”
