Childcare
City Kids
Loving God’s children and raising them up in the Word is at the heart of our ministry at City Church. In each class, our children hear the gospel every week through The Gospel Project Curriculum. We offer four classes on Sunday mornings:
- Nursery (0-23 months)
- 2-3’s (2-3 year olds)
- City Tots (4 years old – Kindergarten)
- City Kids (1st-5th grades)
Through a secure check-in process, parents may check in their children beginning at 9:45am. Children ages 0-2 may remain in their classroom for the duration of the service, while children 3 years old-5th grade will join their families in the service until dismissed to City Kids classes after the children’s sermon – about 20 minutes into the service. From there, children will walk together with their teachers to their classroom until the end of the service when parents return to pick up their children by showing their pick up sticker to the teacher.
Practicing a safe, clean, Gospel-centered and loving environment, all of our teachers are background checked and trained to teach and watch kids. We also provide a closed-circuit tv monitor outside of the sanctuary so you can sneak a peek at your kiddo at any time without them seeing you.
Along with The Gospel Project curriculum, a study that helps kids dive deep into the big story of the Bible, Tots and Kids classes also practice a behavior model called SLLRP (pronounced “slurp”). The SLLRP model helps our kids be thoughtful about their actions at church. Each letter stands for a different “I Can” statement that helps children take ownership of his/her time at City Church.
